Rik Bjimholt - Director, Sourcing Management

Knowledge and Hands-on Experience

Rik Bijmholt, managing director of EquaTerra's Governance and Sourcing Management practice in Europe and Asia Pacific, has extensive experience in managing information technology (IT) suppliers and more than 10 years of hands-on experience in IT and business alignment. Along with Gerard Wijers, Rik leads EquaTerra’s Governance and Sourcing Management business unit, which focuses on designing, implementing and improving internal governance processes and demand-supply competencies of clients.

Rik brings clients a unique combination of strategic, tactical and operational experience, plus a focus on building a true understanding of the business benefits of IT services. “It is rewarding to see the results or effects of simple modifications in a client’s structures or processes,” said Rik. “And I love to see the dedication of our consultants to our profession, helping customers to better manage sourcing relationships.”

A native of Rotterdam, Rik lives in Utrecht with his wife, Marielle, and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys race biking.
